Toppr helped thousands of students crack JEE
“JEE Main” is one of the most competitive exams in the world, with about 1.5 million students appearing every year. In 2016 about 200,000 students “cleared” the exam and qualified for “JEE Advanced”. The exam holds the key to a bright future for these students.
Over 2 lakh Toppr students appeared for “JEE Main”. We wanted to know how these students did. The student is after all the centre of our universe. But Toppr is an internet company. It is in the nature of an internet company to touch hundreds of thousands of lives, while knowing very little about them. We are not a coaching class or tuition teacher. Our students don’t come to our classrooms and tell us how they did.
So while it is impossible to check on each of our students, we investigated the results for 2540 of them. We believe data tells the greatest stories. Here is our exciting story.
Toppr has an impact on a student’s success
We grouped the 2540 students by how many questions they practiced on Toppr. The groups that practiced more questions have a greater proportion of students that cleared the exam. The more questions a student practices on Toppr, the better his chances of clearing the exam.
Toppr improves a student’s score
We grouped the 781 students who cleared the exam by questions practiced on Toppr. The average marks are consistently higher for groups that practice more questions. Practicing more questions on Toppr directly correlates with better exam scores.
Toppr students are twice as likely to clear “JEE Main”
On an average about 15% of students that gave “JEE Main” cleared the exam. The proportion of Toppr students who cleared the exam is 31%. 1 in 3 Toppr students cleared “JEE Main”. If Toppr is a student’s learning companion, he is twice as likely to clear “JEE Main”.
Toppr students are everywhere
Toppr students come from all over the country. Toppr has taken personalised learning to students in Assam, Odisha, Arunachal, J&K, Chattisgarh, Himachal and many others. Of the 2540 students we studied, 781 cleared JEE (Main). 90 of these students have scored more than 200 marks. The highest score among the students we surveyed was 306. We would sincerely like to thank these and the 900,000+ students who have invested their faith and time with Toppr.
